The Protraitist: Three generations of women explore the mystery at the heart of the creative process. Their story is told through the eyes of a precocious adolescent sent to live with an aunt who has settled for a life of dreary isolation, clinging to the myths and memories of a seductive tutor. History: Earlier versions of the play were given readings at the Collaborative Arts Project 21 and the Abingdon Theatre in New York.
