Sorrow of the Sea Maidens

By Fengar Gael

Sorrow of the Sea Maidens is a futurist Frankenstein tale with women in the roles of the scientist, her assistant, and her genetically modified creation. The play revolves around themes of love, loss, species extinction, and is an allegorical exploration of the catastrophic effects of climate change on our oceans and higher marine mammals.

Sorrow of the Sea Maidens has never been produced, but earlier drafts were given staged readings at the Kitchen Dog Theatre of Dallas, and The MultiStages New Works Festival.
