Lord Velvet

By Fengar Gael

Lord Velvet Lord Velvet is an original full-length musical. The Royal Goldsmith of the Kingdom of Regalia, surrounded by his chorus of crown jewels, relates the tale of young King Harold who becomes hopelessly smitten with an American tourist named Peter, proposes to make him queen, and throws the kingdom into turmoil: the parliament threatens to resign, the church declares Harold a heretic, the Queen Mother disowns him, and indignant citizens protest. Lord Velvet was inspired by the American fascination with British royalty, a longing for tradition, ritual, and romance as well as the ongoing national debate on the subject of gay marriage
